Your objective is the most important input to J77.ai. A well-crafted objective produces dramatically better content than a vague one.

The STAR Framework

Use this framework for consistently effective objectives:

• Specific - Clearly define the topic and scope
• Targeted - Specify your audience
• Actionable - State what readers should do or learn
• Rich - Include context, angles, and requirements

Objective Anatomy

A complete objective typically includes:

1. Content Goal

What type of content and what it should achieve:

"Write a comprehensive guide..." "Create a comparison article..." "Develop a step-by-step tutorial..."

2. Topic Focus

The specific subject matter with any constraints:

"...about implementing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions..." "...comparing React, Vue, and Svelte for enterprise applications..."

3. Target Audience

Who will read this and what do they already know:

"...for DevOps engineers with basic Docker knowledge..." "...for CTOs evaluating frontend frameworks..."

4. Desired Outcome

What readers should do or understand after reading:

"...so they can set up their first pipeline in under an hour..." "...to make an informed technology decision..."

5. Structural Requirements

Specific elements to include:

Specify Length

Give the AI guidance on content length:

Define Structure

Request specific sections or elements:

Set the Angle

Differentiate from generic content:

Exclude What You Don't Want

Prevent common issues:

Common Mistakes

• Too vague - "Write about our product" leaves too much to interpretation
• Too long - Objectives over 500 words can confuse the AI
• Contradictory - "Be comprehensive but brief" sends mixed signals
• Missing audience - Content for "everyone" works for no one
• No outcome - Without a goal, content lacks purpose
