Create Your First Brand Kit
A Brand Kit represents a brand or website you're creating content for. This guide walks you through setting up your first one.
Step 1: Navigate to Brand Kits
After logging in, click Brand Kits in the sidebar. Then click New Brand Kit.
Step 2: Enter Basic Information
Give your Brand Kit a name and description:
- Name: The brand or website name (e.g., "My Tech Blog")
- Slug: A URL-friendly identifier (auto-generated or custom)
- Description: Brief summary of what this Brand Kit is for
Step 3: Configure Your Brand Kit
The brand kit defines your content's personality. Set these in the Settings tab:
Voice
The overall personality of your brand's communication.
Example: "Expert but approachable, like a knowledgeable friend explaining complex topics"
Tone
The emotional quality applied to content.
Example: "Conversational and encouraging, avoiding jargon unless explained"
Guidelines
Specific dos and don'ts for your content.
Example: "Always use 'we' not 'I'. Avoid superlatives like 'best' or 'greatest'. Include practical examples."
Step 4: Set SEO Preferences (Optional)
Help the AI optimize for search by adding:
- Default Keywords: Terms to naturally include in content
- Keywords to Avoid: Competitor names or restricted terms
Step 5: Save and Start Generating
Click Save Changes and your Brand Kit is ready. You can now:
Tips for Better Brand Kits
- Be specific in your voice and tone descriptions
- Include examples of good phrasing in your guidelines
- Start with core settings and refine after seeing results
- Create separate Brand Kits for distinctly different brands
