Brand Kits
Brand Kits are the foundation of J77.ai. Each Brand Kit represents a brand, project, or content destination with its own voice, tone, and guidelines.
What is a Brand Kit?
A Brand Kit is a container for all content related to a specific brand or project. Think of it as your content command center where you define:
- Brand identity - Name, description, and visual identity
- Voice & tone - How your content should sound
- Content guidelines - Rules and restrictions for generated content
- SEO preferences - Keywords to target and competitors to avoid
- Content library - Reusable snippets, glossary terms, and reference materials
Brand Kit Settings
Every Brand Kit includes settings that shape how AI generates content for your brand:
Voice
Your brand's personality in written form. Voice remains consistent across all content types. Examples:
- "Authoritative yet approachable expert"
- "Friendly mentor who explains complex topics simply"
- "Bold, innovative challenger to the status quo"
Tone
The emotional quality of your content. Unlike voice, tone can vary by context:
- "Professional and confident"
- "Warm and encouraging"
- "Direct and no-nonsense"
Guidelines
Specific rules for content creation. Be explicit about what to include and avoid:
- Use active voice and short sentences
- Include practical examples in every section
- Never use jargon without explaining it
- Avoid mentioning specific competitor names
Relevant Topics
Topics your brand covers, used for AI-powered topic suggestions. When you click "Suggest Topics" on the build page, J77.ai analyzes trending discussions related to these topics and suggests timely content ideas.
- "supply chain automation"
- "demand forecasting"
- "inventory management"
Image Generation Settings
Configure default settings for AI-generated images:
- Style - Photorealistic, illustration, 3D, flat design, etc.
- Mood - Professional, playful, dramatic, minimalist, etc.
- Subject - People, abstract, objects, data visualizations, etc.
- Colors - Brand colors, warm, cool, monochrome, or auto
- Aspect Ratio - 16:9 for blog headers, 1:1 for social, etc.
- Custom Instructions - Specific guidance like "always include a grid pattern"
These settings are used whenever you generate images, but can be overridden per-build.
SEO Preferences
Configure SEO settings that apply to all content generated for this target:
Default Keywords
Primary keywords that should appear naturally in your content. These inform the AI about your topic focus and help with search optimization.
Keywords to Avoid
Competitor brand names, outdated terms, or words that conflict with your brand positioning.
Using the AI Brand Helper
Not sure how to set up your brand kit? Use our AI Brand Helper:
- Go to your target's Settings page
- Click "Show" on the AI Brand Helper card
- Describe your project, audience, and goals in detail
- Click "Generate Brand Settings"
- Review and customize the AI's suggestions
The more detail you provide about your project, the better the AI can suggest appropriate voice, tone, and guidelines.
Best Practices
- Be specific - Generic guidelines produce generic content
- Include examples - Show, don't just tell, what good content looks like
- Update regularly - Refine your brand kit as you see what works
- Use the library - Add common phrases, boilerplate, and terminology
